#22. Navigating Difficult Conversations with Dr. Marcia Reynolds

I talk with Dr. Marcia Reynolds, a behavioral scientist, master coach and author, about how leaders can better navigate difficult conversations, especially when emotions are involved.

Dr. Marcia Reynolds is President of Covisioning LLC. She’s a master of teaching others how to engage in powerful conversations that connect, influence, and activate change, even when emotions are strong. Marcia has a doctoral degree in Organizational Psychology and two master’s degrees in Education and Communications.

Marcia is the author of “Outsmart Your Brain” and “The Discomfort Zone: How Leaders Turn Difficult Conversations into Breakthroughs,” and will be releasing a new book, “Coach the Person, Not the Problem” in June, 2020.

Dr. Reynolds has trained and coached leaders in 41 countries and has presented at the Harvard Kennedy School, Cornell University, Smith College, Almaty Management University in Kazakhstan, and The National Research University in Moscow. She has appeared in business publications in Europe and Asia, and has appeared on ABC World News. Marcia, a pioneer in the coaching industry, was the 5th global president of the International Coach Federation and one of the first to earn the Master Certified Coach credential. She is also a past president of the Association for Coach Training Organizations.
